Esther Waweru is a Kenyan finance professional, social impact leader, author, mentor, and advocate for the empowerment of women and girls. She holds an MBA in Finance, Bachelor of Commerce, CPA(K), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Administration, with over a decade of experience in audit, risk management, compliance, finance, and tax administration. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Tunza Dada Initiative, a grassroots organization committed to empowering adolescent girls, teenage mothers, single mothers, and vulnerable young women through mentorship, financial literacy, menstrual health, entrepreneurship, mental wellness, and sustainable livelihoods. As an author and mentor, Esther draws from themes of faith, resilience, motherhood, adversity, healing, and transformation, using her experiences and voice to inspire others to overcome challenges, discover purpose, build confidence, and create meaningful and sustainable futures.

    Built Tunza Dada Initiative

    Tunza Dada Initiative is a women-led organization committed to advancing the dignity, agency, and economic empowerment of young women and girls. Rooted in community, our work focuses on supporting those navigating systemic barriers to opportunity, including young mothers and women from underserved backgrounds. We are driven by the belief that sustainable change begins with access, agency, and collective power. Through inclusive training, mentorship, and community-driven innovation, we equip women with the skills, resources, and support systems needed to build resilient livelihoods and lead change in their own lives and communities.
