Meet Esther
I am a mother. I am a professional. I am an author. I am a woman of faith. I am passionate about women, girls and families, and about helping people discover that their circumstances do not have to define their future.

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.
For my very first blog post, I want to start where every story should: with the person telling it. So let me introduce you to Esther, the woman behind the scars.
The Many Shoes I Wear
I am a mother. I am a professional. I am an author. I am a woman of faith. I am passionate about women, girls and families, and about helping people discover that their circumstances do not have to define their future.
Each of these is a pair of shoes I step into every day, and some days they feel lighter than others.
But before all these titles, I am simply a woman who has lived.
Seasons of Life
As Esther, I have known beautiful seasons and difficult ones. I have faced unexpected disappointments and moments that stretched my faith. I have had to rebuild parts of myself, learn lessons I did not ask for, release things I thought I would hold forever, and find the courage to keep moving.
For a long time, I believed strength meant having everything together: knowing exactly where to be and who to be with.
I have since learned that strength can look very different.
Strength can look like admitting you are tired.
It can look like asking for help.
It can look like crying, and still getting up the next morning.
And as a single mother, it can look like watching your children, who sometimes remind you of relationships that did not last, and loving them deeply anyway.
The Scars We Carry
Some scars are visible. Others are hidden deep inside us. Some are both.
There are experiences that leave marks on the heart: loss, disappointment, rejection, fear, broken dreams, difficult relationships, the challenges of motherhood, and seasons when life feels heavier than we ever expected. Sometimes, like me, you walk through those seasons feeling like there is no one on your side.
But I have discovered something beautiful:
A scar is not proof that you were broken forever. It is proof that healing happened.
That realization became one of the inspirations behind my book, Sacred Scars.
Why I Wrote Sacred Scars
Writing this book was not easy. It forced me to revisit places in my story that were uncomfortable. It took courage to put words to emotions and experiences I had carried quietly for so long. It was hard to speak about the times I failed in relationships, and harder still to write about the painful experiences with my son.
But somewhere along the way, I realized that my story was never meant to be mine alone.
Maybe someone else needs to know that they can survive their painful chapter.
An Invitation
This blog is a space for honest conversation about life, faith, motherhood, womanhood, healing and hope. In the posts to come, I will share more of the shoes I wear, the lessons I am still learning, and the grace that has carried me.
If you are in a hard season right now, I want you to hear this: you are not alone, and your story is not over.
